Last week I was searching Google for images to use in potential Christmas Eve ads. One photo that lingers in my mind was that of a dog, tangled up in a string of Christmas lights. The caption I was proposing for the photo was “If this is what Christmas feels like to you, then join us this Christmas to unravel”.
While we might laugh at this, (or admit we feel as though we could unravel ourselves), there is truth here. We either let ourselves get this way as the holiday approaches, or we know someone who gets tangled up in a lot of stuff that does not lead to “Let every heart prepare Him room”.
Let us be mindful each day to wrap ourselves in quiet meditation and scripture, giving thanks for our daily bread, and seeking to give from what we have to glorify the one who came to be Emmanuel, God with us. My hope is that the Prince of Peace would rule in all our hearts this blessed season.

(And, thank you so much for the tremendous Love Offering shared with me in honor of my 25th Work Anniversary! The truest blessing is being on the journey of being and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ alongside you. Give yourselves a hand – you really surprised me!)
