Have you ever heard that the tongue is the most powerful muscle in your body? I believe this is because it presents what you believe in your heart. When my twins were younger, they blurted out their frustration to the other one, which frequently resulted in hurt feelings. Now that they are older and have learned to talk their situation out, they are seeing that the tongue is so powerful that it can turn a serious problem into confession and forgiveness of yourself and others. The tongue can control your entire being by announcing what you think about yourself. When your heart is abundantly filled with God’s Word, the tongue will produce the first fruits. By speaking God’s Word, you replace the negative forces at work in your life with positive forces from the treasures in your heart.
