Even though summer doesn’t officially arrive until June, Memorial weekend kicks off the summer season for most of us! With that comes well-earned vacations, lots of ball games or maybe time at the pool. In the church world that generally also means more people are physically absent from church. In order to keep your spiritual presence with God, be sure to watch our Facebook page and/or webpage for sermon posts to hear the latest message from God.
Unfortunately, giving also declines in the summer. As you can imagine, expenses of the church don’t take time off, and our outreach needs increase. So in the past couple of months we have rolled out new features to make giving more convenient while you’re enjoying time away.
Giving through your smartphone is simple! Give+ is an app available through the app store. Search “give plus church” followed by First Christian Church Keokuk and download the app. Once your account is created, you are able to give your tithe as well as give to your favorite outreach ministry.
Maybe you’re more comfortable with a text gift. With Give+Text – simply text your gift to 319.313.7761. Include the $ sign with your amount. Once you’ve created your account, your gift (recurring, if you wish) is only a text away.
