Amy grew up in church as a PK (pastor’s kid) in Montrose, Iowa. She is the youngest of four children.
Amy spent eight years living in Johnson County. In 2013, after spending several semesters in college pursuing a degree in nursing, she had several life events take place that changed her plans for the future. She obtained her local minister’s license in 2014, at her home church in Iowa City. She served there as Children’s Ministry Director, locally licensed minister, volunteer event photographer, social media and communications volunteer and several other roles. In 2016 Amy accepted a staff position as an Office Administrator at a church in Coralville, where she stayed until her move back to her childhood hometown of Montrose in 2017. Amy worked at the First Christian Church in Burlington for 3 years before coming to work at FCC Keokuk. Amy is passionate about helping those less fortunate, advocating for the oppressed, and serves with the Keokuk Homeless Alliance.
Amy enjoys spending time with her four children. Her hobbies include: hiking, taking photos, being outdoors, and writing. She is always ready to engage in meaningful conversation, especially over a good cup of coffee.
