I appreciate the time and dedication Sunday school teachers and youth leaders put into their Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights here at First Christian Church. I am always touched with joy when I experience the passion teachers’ use in their lessons to lead youth to look up scripture in their Bibles whenever they have a question. I see how connections are being made and seeds planted to have their students grow in a relationship with Jesus while discovering and learning to express who they are as members of the body of Christ. Ephesians 1:5 expresses how we’re all adopted into God’s family through Jesus. Not only are we adopted, but all other believers are adopted into God’s family as well. The youth are forming a family in their classes, within our church and community of faith. As a family of faith, we should strive to model to those around us what it means to be made in God’s image and adopted into His family.
