When I was secretary for First Christian, I was unable to participate in the women’s ministry of Disciple Women. I was not really aware of the fellowship I was missing. I would invite all women of the church to come and get involved.
On the outside, it may just seem like a social gathering, but the service that is given is remarkable. Helping in many areas of the church when there is a need.
Everyone joins together to make the “work” easier, encouraging each other. It makes me think of the scripture: Hebrews 10:25 (NCV) You should not stay away from the church meetings, as some are doing, but you should meet together and encourage each other. Do this even more as you see the day coming.
