Our First “Gathering”…

This week we began our first “Gathering” of 20, 30, 40 somethings! We read together Acts 2 which spoke to early Christians about the purpose of gathering in community and Hebrews 10:24-25 which says “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together.” The question “Can I be a Christian without going to church?” was considered, to which the final answer seemed to be, “Yes? But it’s not recommended!” As a community of 20, 30, 40 somethings, we hope to grow in discipleship of Jesus, to be in service together, and grow closer as a community of faith through fellowship and prayer. Amidst the busyness of life, we need each other to be friendly reminders of who we are as Christians, and what we’re called to do as Christians. Let us “not give up meeting together…” but “spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
