Our mission leads us to be and to share the good news of Jesus Christ!

Living Wisely

We live in an amazing time. Knowledge and information are readily available to just about everyone. For instance, I’ve learned to do some pretty complicated things simply by watching someone else do it on YouTube. With the age of the Internet, we have vast amounts of stored knowledge at our fingertips. But where do we turn for help with how to use that knowledge wisely? Where do we turn for wisdom?

You’ll probably not be surprised to hear me say that the Bible is a good place to start. If you spend even a little time reading and studying the Bible, you soon discover that it has lots of practical advice for living the world. For instance, in Proverbs 12:15 we read: “The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult.” And, of course, nearly everything Jesus says in the Gospels has practical applications in our everyday lives and relationships.

So, keep your Bible close and pay attention to what it says about living wisely and faithfully, as we seek to grow, not only in knowledge, but in also in wisdom.
