Our mission leads us to be and to share the good news of Jesus Christ!

Going Where God Leads Us…

“The reason a lot of people do not recognize opportunity is because it usually goes around wearing overalls looking like hard work.”– Thomas A. Edison

On June 12, the FCC Youth Mission Team will head for the Kansas Christian Home in Newton, Kansas. Not only are we preparing for the ‘hard work’ of painting, cleaning and landscape duties, we also look forward to the opportunity to forge new friendships with the residents and staff at Kansas Christian Home!

At present, 16 youth and 5 adults will strive “to be and to share the good news of Jesus Christ.”

Each year we listen for God’s direction as to where we should serve. This type of “mission work” wasn’t where we expected to be heading, but there were too many signs, doors opened and windows closed for us to ignore His leading! We are honored to be chosen by Him to serve in this way and seek His continued direction as plans are finalized.
We thank God for our church family’s encouragement, for supporting our fundraising and service opportunities, and, we rely on your prayers not only as we travel and serve, but as we plan and prepare to be “living water” in His name. It is also an honor to serve on your behalf.

John 7:38 (ESV) – “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”
